2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe looks more aggressive now, but the real story is under the hood, new propulsion systems that pack more power and a number of gears more, too. The Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6 now features direct injection, while the turbocharged four has a new turbo and intercooler setup. Both models are available with eight-speed automatic and get a little better fuel economy, too.

The 3.8-liter V6 in the Hyundai Genesis Coupe now makes 348 horsepower and 296 lb.-ft. of torque, up from 306 and 266, respectively. The 2.0T model profits even more, from 201 to 274 hp, with torque improving from 223 lb.-ft. to 275. (All figures quoted are premium gasoline.) Both cars retain their six-speed manual, but now have a Hyundai-developed eight-speed with paddle shifters as the automatic option. Despite the new auto fuel consumption increases by only one digit. More importantly, Hyundai says the new Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6 is good for a time from 0 to 60 in the lowest in five seconds range.

There is more to this mid-cycle review of life, including seven new exterior colors and some new shades for the interior, which has also been improved. It is quite clear on the extent of this update that Hyundai is playing to win in the coupé segment suddenly accelerated to sports. Only a few years, several automakers have dismissed these models focused enthusiastic, but with the introduction of new and the Scion FR-S and much more capable Genesis Coupe, things are looking good for car lovers high performance economy.
